Robert Weinroth

Robert S. Weinroth is a well-known figure in Boca Raton and Palm Beach County politics. He is an accomplished attorney and a former member of the Boca Raton City Council, where he served as Deputy Mayor, and the Palm Beach County Commissioners, where he served as County Mayor during his last year of public service.

Weinroth was born and raised in New York City. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and his law degree from New England School of Law in Boston. After graduation, he practiced law in Massachusetts, relocating to New York where he was employed as the president of American International Recovery, Inc, a subsidiary of American International Group (AIG). He and his family relocated to Florida in the mid-1980s where he established Freedom Medical Services Inc, Medicare approved durable medical equipment provider.
In 2014, Weinroth was elected to the Boca Raton City Council, where he served for four years. During his time on the Council, he was instrumental in the development of the city’s downtown area, and he worked to encourage business development and to improve transportation infrastructure in and around Boca Raton.
In 2018, Weinroth was elected to the Palm Beach County Commission, where he served until 2022. He was known for his expertise in land use and transportation issues, and he played a key role in the development of major transportation projects throughout the county.
Weinroth also served on numerous committees and boards during his tenure in public service. He was a member of the Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, and the Palm Beach County League of Cities. He also served on the board of the Value Adjust Board, and was chair of the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County and the Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency
After leaving public office, Weinroth has continued to work as an attorney and advocate for various causes.
Throughout his career, Weinroth has been recognized for his dedication to public service and his contributions to the community. He has received numerous awards, including the Community Leadership Award from the Anti-Defamation League and the Excellence in Local Government Award from the Palm Beach County League of Cities.
Today, Weinroth is retired from public service but remains active in the community. He continues to advocate for causes he believes in and is a respected voice on issues affecting Boca Raton and Palm Beach County.
